Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive monthly pensions, with amounts ranging from Rs. 200 to Rs. 1000 for the elderly and widows and from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1500 for disabled individuals. This initiative helps ensure that these individuals have a financial safety net and can maintain their dignity despite their challenging circumstances.

In Telangana, the sex ratio stands at 988 females per 1,000 males based on the 2011 census data. This figure signifies that there are more females than males in the state, and it surpasses the national average sex ratio in India, which is 943 females per 1,000 males.

The Kanti Velugu program, implemented by the state of Telangana, is primarily aimed at eliminating blindness. This initiative achieves its goal by offering eyeglasses and cataract surgery facilities to the residents of Telangana.

Under the Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme or Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam, the government extends financial assistance to SC/ST families to ease their financial burden during their daughters’ marriages. As of 2018, the scheme offers approximately Rs. 1,00,116. It was launched on October 2, 2014.

The program’s goals include providing 100 liters per capita per day (LPCD) in rural areas, 135 LPCD in municipalities, and 150 LPCD in municipal corporations.
